PBS Religion & Ethics NewsWeekly (Click on this link to go to the PBS site.)
PBS has a series of videos produced for their weekly show Religion & Ethics NewsWeekly. This program is done in a news show format and looks at a multitude of topics. The official description of the series states the show "examines religion's role and the ethical dimensions behind top news headlines."
It takes on issues as far ranging as Rob Bell's recent controversy concerning Heaven and Hell, to Clergy stress, to The Ethics of Drones (used in modern warfare).
The perspective generally is a secular glance at religious issues and how they are a major aspect in the world.
Although not representing a "Christian" point of view, I find these episodes to be very informative and often a pleasure to watch. Getting information that is intentionally not filtered through a Christian, or more specific, an American Evangelical Christian "filter" is very helpful in keeping our understanding of the world in focus.
I encourage you to check these out. Let me know if you find any of the stories especially intriguing or discomforting!

I had a class at Western this past spring semester which was Religions of the World. I found it quite interesting. It definitely tested my faith, but I came out a stronger Christian because of it.
